A TRAINEE nurse from Weston is currently the country's most decorated karate champion, holding all four national gold medals.

Sarah Clark is currently English champion, British champion, British international champion and Scottish international champion, and she is hoping her medal haul will continue to grow at this month’s Universities European Karate Championships.

The 23-year-old, from Montpelier, will head off to Bosnia for the tournament with nine English championships, seven British championships, and five British international titles under her belt.

Sarah, who is currently studying at the University of the West of England (UWE), said: “I started karate when I was 12 years old. It feels amazing that all the hard work has paid off, and now I’m just hoping that we can do well in Bosnia.

“Now I really want to take it to the next level.”
