A FORMER Weston student has shaved her head to raise money for the charity Children with Cancer.

Sarah Burking-Tucker, aged 40, chopped her locks for charity, and was supported by her whole family as she took on the brave act in Perth, Australia.

The former Broadoak Mathematics and Computing College student moved down under with her family when she was 16 and decided to stay with her aunt when her parents and siblings moved back to Weston.

Sarah has now raised more than $1,600 for the organisation. Sarah’s mother, Dorothy Straughan, said: “The family and I are very proud of her. She has done an amazing job”
