A LITTLE collie dog, rescued from the sinking mud on Weston-super-Mare beach, is looking for a new home.Lucky, as she was named by her rescuers, had to be plucked to safety by the coastguard and dog warden after mistakenly wandering onto the mud.Despite pleas for her owners to come forward, Lucky, who is a 10-year-old Collie cross, is still on her own and now being cared for by staff at Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary in Barrow Gurney.Sanctuary founder Pauline Leeson said: "She is such a sweet dog and was very lucky that the coastguard and dog warden were able to rescue her."When she arrived at the centre she was not in a very good way, but is now well on the way to recovery."She has come on in leaps and bounds and needs a home with someone who can give her plenty of tender, loving care."If you can give Lucky a home call the sanctuary on 01275 474719.
