▲YOUNGSTERS from across North Somerset are learning how to have fun while getting fitter with a healthy lifestyles programme.

Mind, Exercise, Nutrition…Do it! (MEND) helps children aged seven to 13 to lose weight, eat healthier food and encourage regular leisure centre use.

Different activities are on offer at Hutton Moor Leisure Centre and Hans Price Academy. The MEND scheme will this month be expanded to five to seven-year-olds and two to four-year-olds. A new group, Breakthrough Active, has been set up in partnership with NHS North Somerset for 13-19-year-olds.
