A SCHOOL has been forced to wait another month to hear whether it can press ahead with plans for a new sport facility.

Sidcot School wants to build two all-weather sport pitches, create more parking spaces and install floodlights.

Winscombe residents submitted dozens of objections to the plans, amid concerns over an increase in traffic and the visual impact.

But last night North Somerset Council’s South Area Committee deferred the decision for a second time after the late receipt of a legal opinion written by a resident.

Councillors decided they needed more time to study it before deciding to approve or refuse the planning application.

The next meeting will be on July 24.
