PUPILS from Winscombe Primary School were on hand to cut the ribbon and officially reopen the village's Co-Operative Food store.

The store had been shut since April 25 after an electrical fire, and its prolonged closure led company bosses to apologise to villagers earlier this year.

But the store was reopened at the ceremony on Thursday, and manager Tom Hartley said: “I’m very much looking forward to welcoming customers back into the store following the unfortunate closure over recent months.”
