n OLD hubcaps were among the finds for scouts in Blagdon as they helped keep their village clean and tidy.

The youngsters were taking part in community week, during which scouts were encouraged to do something good for their local environment.

That meant members were out in force around The Mead on May 16 doing a litter pick, with every cub and scout in the group also cleaning his own road throughout the week.

Some of the money raised through donations will go towards new camping equipment.
