A BUSINESSMAN wants to turn his hotel and holiday flats on a run-down Weston seafront site into residential apartments.Ken Perrett wants to change the Sands Hotel and the nearby holiday flats in Victoria Square because it is not 'economically viable' to run them any more.A planning application has been submitted to North Somerset Council to turn them into apartmentsIn the proposals, Mr Perrett says he will renovate the site to improve and enhance it.He says there is a demand for good quality apartments but demand for hotel accommodation has fallen.The council hopes to decide on the application by September 11.
