FORMER Worle Community School pupil Lorna Hague has been chosen to be Miss March in the Weston WAGs calendar.

Lorna, a 19-year-old qualified aerobics instructor, will feature in the 2009 calendar, organised by Weston Football Club and supported by the Weston & Somerset Mercury.

The calendar, which will feature wives and girlfriends from around the town, is aimed at raising money for the football club's 60th anniversary and Weston Hospicecare.

Lorna was confirmed as March's choice at the Woodspring Stadium in Winterstoke Road before the Seagulls clash against Dorchester Town on Easter Monday.

She said: "I was challenged this year by a friend to do anything I was asked for charity so I'm happy to take part."

Lorna received a bouquet of flowers and a bottle of champagne from the club.

The hunt is now on to find Miss April. The winner of each monthly competition will feature in the club's special 2009 calendar and in the Weston Mercury.
