SCIENTISTS in North Somerset are after your kids' nits to ship off to America.Doctors have been scratching their heads over news head lice from the area are resistant to chemical cures and are collecting the parasites for testing.The professionals at Bristol University's department of clinical veterinary science in Langford are appealing for parents of children with head lice to come forward.Some of the nits will be kept in Langford and used to grow more for further research and others will be sent to the University of Massachusetts for tests to discover how they developed the resistance.Every youngster that gives some lice will receive £20 and a natural head lice product called Lice Attack, which will safely remove the parasites.For details call Dr Gerald Coles on 0117 928 9418 or Kathryn Stafford on 0117 928 9495.
