The Churches of Banwell has been organising free craft events for children aged between three and nine in the village every season for the past four years.

Organiser Laura Batt said: “We do all sorts of crafts depending on the season. We made paper lanterns, autumn pictures, book markers, homemade bread and cakes, scarecrows on sticks and necklaces made out of wood collected from Banwell woods.

“It’s all run by volunteers and is always free.”

The next event will be held on November 28 from 10am to noon in the village hall in Westfield Road and will have a Christmas theme.
