A Somerset animal charity will host its first wildlife conference in its history.

Secret World Wildlife Rescue, in East Huntspill, will welcome animal experts and enthusiasts to the two-day event.

It will bring together stakeholders and professionals to discover new ways in which people can work in partnership for the greater good of British wildlife.

Head of external relations, Samantha Hannay, said: “We are really excited to be hosting our first ever wildlife conference and we have already got a great line-up of speakers confirmed.

“We have taken the decision to host this conference because our wildlife is under increased pressure from environmental impacts and changes in legislation and human behaviour.”

The conference will take place on February 9-10 from 10am-5pm with the venue to be confirmed.

Early bird tickets ranging from £70-120 are up for sale until tomorrow (Friday) from www.secretworld.org
