A BBC television presenter is supporting a photography competition in aid of an animal charity.

Chris Packham is asking keen photographers to submit their best pictures to raise money for Secret World Wildlife Rescue in East Huntspill.

Samantha Hannay, head of external relations, said: “We are really looking forward to seeing what our supporters come up with.

“Competitions like this provide a great excuse for getting close to our wonderful wildlife.

“The money raised from this competition will go back into the care of wild animals.”

The competition winner will receive a cuddly toy and the chance to adopt one of the centre’s animals for a year.

The deadline for entries is 8pm on May 31 and each entrant must make a £1 donation for each picture.
