Staff at an animal rescue charity have been bowled over after supporters raised £10,000 at the annual ball.

Secret World Wildlife Rescue, based in East Huntspill, hosted a circus-themed fundraising ball at the Webbington Hotel which helped it to raise money to care for its animals.
BBC broadcaster Mike Dilger compered the event which pulled together nearly 250 wildlife lovers.
Guests were treated to a disco, David Ford tribute act, a magician, a casino and a cabaret act.
Charity founder Pauline Kidner said: “The ball has helped us raise precious funds to enable us to help sick and injured animals across the South West.

“The evening went so quickly. Secret World’s annual charity ball is one of the key events in the calendar and this year’s event did not disappoint.”
