Sedgemoor businesses shortlisted for Somerset Life award

NOT one, but four Sedgemoor businesses have been shortlisted for various categories in Somerset Life's Food and Drink Awards.
The Pumpkin Delicatessen and Café, in Wedmore, has been shortlisted for two of the awards, including the best food shop and the 2011 Somerset food hero awards. The other businesses which have made the shortlist are the Clavelshay Barn in North Petherton for best restaurant, , The Cottage Inn, in Keenthorne, for best country pub, and the Bridgwater Farmers’ Market, for best farmers market.
Councillor Anne Fraser, portfolio holder for strategy and business said: “I’d like to wholehearted congratulate these businesses on not only being nominated but also being shortlisted.
“Awards like Somerset Life showcase the depth, breadth and diversity of businesses across the county and we in Sedgemoor are lucky to have such a wide variety of excellent food and drink, right on our doorsteps.”
The shortlisted businesses will be invited attend the awards ceremony to be held at The Venue@J24, in Sedgemoor on October 20.
