TWO tourist information centres in Sedgemoor have taken the top spots in a mystery shopper campaign.
The Burnham centre took first place while Cheddar came second in the 2007 Customer Service Mystery Shopper Campaign in the South West.
The campaign tests how well the service is operated and how staff members handle inquiries by email, telephone or letter. Marks are gained for various elements including the range of items on sale and the quality of displays.
Visitor services manager Cindy Tee said: "Burnham and Cheddar tourist information centres receive more than 180,000 visitors through their doors each year.
"We are all thrilled with such a positive result for both centres. To come first and second in the region is just wonderful.
