SEDGEMOOR District Council is set to roll out the final phase of its Sort It Plus recycling service in a move which will reach around 16,000 homes in the district.
First collections began on Monday (Nov 22) and will be completed by December 3, with residents in this phase switching from fortnightly to weekly collections.
Those residents will also have new food waste collections with refuse pick-ups set to go fortnightly.
As part of the service residents can put out many more materials for recycling, including – for the first time – cardboard and household plastic bottles.
For information on collections, residents should contact the council on 0845 408 2543 or email customer.services@sedgemoor.gov.uk
