A CHARITY which aims to help survivors of domestic abuse has raised £750 to fund their next conference.

The group, Survivors Empowering and Educating Domestic Abuse Services (SEEDS), raised the money by holding a charity dinner at Hussains Restaurant, in Orchard Street, Weston.

Together with the meal, the group raised money through a raffle on the night and was given £500 by Puxton Park owner Derek Mead.

Founder of the group Amanda Sutherland said: “We owe a big thank you to Mr Mead and to Hussains who gave us 25 per cent of profits from the night.

“All of the money will go towards our conference, so that families and individuals who have experienced domestic abuse can get information and have their say.”

The SEEDS conference will take place at Weston’s Winter Gardens on February 27 from 9.15am. For more information contact Amanda Sutherland on 07747 084630.
