FIRE crews came to the rescue of a sheep on Sunday – after it got stuck in a river.
Officers from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service helped at approximately 6.30pm, after it became trapped in a rhyne near the Frank Foley Parkway in Burnham.
A triple extension ladder and dry suits were used to free the sheep, which is now said to be in a ‘place of safety’.
