A village amateur dramatic group has thrilled four sell-out crowds this month with its pantomime.

Shipham Players performed four ‘fantastic’ showings of Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs at Shipham Village Hall this month.

The cast, which featured many youngsters in prominent roles, spent lots of time rehearsing and performed to hundreds of people, earning rave reviews.

Spokesman Jane Dawes told the Mercury: “People always say after the show that it’s the best one we’ve ever done, but I actually think this one was.

“It was tremendous. We get a lot of people in the village hall and there must have been at least 600 people who saw the show.

“We had a cast of 35-40 people of all ages, who required no prompts and everyone remembered their lines.

“But that is no surprise given we were rehearsing for three months in the build up to the show.”
