SERVICES available to support elderly people across North Somerset were shown off at an event in the Winter Gardens.

Voluntary Action North Somerset (VANS) held a number of sessions inside the Weston venue’s Prince Consort Hall to launch Community Care Advisors, a new district wide online directory of community services.

Multiple organisations had stands throughout the day showing the services they offer in support of older people.

North Somerset Council’s executive member for adult social care, Dawn Payne, held a session in the morning and chief clinical officer for NHS North Somerset’s Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and GP Mary Backhouse held an informative session in the afternoon.
