A WESTON singing sensation is appealing for the public’s votes after performing in the Retail Trust’s Search for a Star competition.

Hayley Richards sang at Brent Cross shopping centre in London as part of the competition’s top 50 acts on October 30, and is hoping to get through to the next round of ten competitors.

She said: “It went very well, I really enjoyed the whole experience. The reception from the crowd was very good, and the judging panel all said I offered something different.”

As part of the competition, the Marks and Spencers worker is trying to raise money for specialist chairs for sufferers of Alzheimer’s Disease.

To vote for Hayley, text ‘star 35’ to 70099. Texts cost £1, with 75p going towards the retail trust charity.
