WESTON provides backdrop for new sitcom which unites Royle Family comedy duo.
Ralf Little and Craig Cash are starring in a sitcom that centres around a Weston-based cafe.
Ralf has co-written The Cafe with comedian Michelle Terry, formerly from Weston, which will be aired on Sky 1 this autumn.
One lucky visitor to the set managed to catch a snap with Ralf as he took some time away from filming.
Steven Harrison described Ralf as ‘a nice person and a credit to his profession’.
The set for the show has been constructed next to Weston’s Marine Lake and features an indoor cafe with rustic benches on the outside.
The set looks so realistic that it has caught several visitors’ eyes who are ready for a cup of tea.
Jeremy Decoursey, assistant location manager, said: “A couple of people have popped in thinking it is a real cafe.
“They come in wanting a cup of tea.”
Other people have come to sit on the benches while it is raining and stayed their until the rain had stopped.
The cast also features June Watson, Ellie Haddington, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and David Throughton.
