A SIX-YEAR-OLD boy set himself a sponsored swim challenge and completed one mile to raise funds for charity.

Joshua Keyes, of Worlebury, attends St Paul’s School and decided to take on the challenge to celebrate the Olympics.

While training to swim a mile he thought up his Olympic challenge.

The sponsored swim was made up of the number of lengths which he swam in the Virgin Active pool in Weston – the venue where he first learnt how to swim with help from his dad Anthony.

Joshua has already raised £150 and more money is still being collected, which will then be donated to the children’s charity SPARKS.
