SNOW, sleet and rain are expected across North Somerset and Somerset tomorrow (Saturday) after a yellow warning was issued by the Met Office.
On Saturday morning, 2-4cm of snow is expected to fall in areas more than 200m above sea level, with the chance of ‘temporary local accumulations’ to lower areas, with further warnings of ice patches.
The yellow warning is described as ‘likely’ to include the bad weather, but with a relatively low impact expected.
The chief forecaster said: “A weak occluded front will come east, associated precipitation falling into air which has cooled during the preceding night to bring a wintry mix of rain, sleet and snow.”
