NORTH Somerset Council is trying to come up with solutions to improve the traffic chaos at Portishead's Cabstand.
A number of councillors have raised concerns about the hot spot and North Somerset has commissioned specialist traffic management consultants, Halcrow, to look into a number of options to improve traffic flow at the junction.
A report is due to be presented to councillor Elfan Ap Rees, executive member for strategic planning, highways and economic development, for consideration early in the New Year.
Cllr Ap Rees said: "We cannot justify wasting money making changes that are no better or worse than the existing arrangements and we therefore need to continue to work with the local knowledge and take the right amount of time to ensure we get it right.
