GREEN aliens caught a space ship to Somerset and invaded a school for the day.
The crawly creatures landed at Draycott and Rodney Stoke First School for a special event.
Pupils at the school had been learning about space and the solar system as part of a project focus week.
Some youngsters designed posters about different planets while others dressed up as crazy aliens and daring spacemen.
Headteacher Catherine Lowe said: "The children all had lots of fun dressing up and making 3D models. Some of them dressed up as planets and we made a solar system in the playground."
As part of the project, children also painted pictures of aliens, which will be on sale at an art exhibition at a parents evening on March 27.
