A SPATE of ‘suspicious’ fires have broken out on a Weston estate causing chaos for residents.

Over the last week firefighters from the town have been called to four incidents on the Oldmixon estate.

The first blaze broke out at Bruton House in Monkton Avenue, just after midnight on May 31.

Just days later, on June 6, there was a fire at the skate park in Aller Parade at about 10pm, followed by one at the Corston garages in Brompton Road at 12.30am.

Less than two hours later, at 2.15am, a wheelie bin behind Chutneys Indian takeaway, also in Aller Parade, caught alight.

Police are currently treating these incidents as suspicious and are appealing for witnesses to call 0845 4567000.
