DANGEROUS speeding motorists driving through Shipham was one of the main concerns raised at a police beat surgery.
Police community support officer Matthew Webb held an open morning in the post office in the village hall on Friday.
He said: "A lot of residents complained about the speed at which people drive through the village. There is a community Speedwatch initiative in Shipham so we will be passing the information on to them and keeping a close eye on the situation.
"Other residents said they were pleased to see a noticeable police presence in the village so the beat surgeries are obviously working well."
The next two surgeries will be on March 14 and 18 from 10am-12noon at the post office.
