A 24-hour spin-athon has raised almost £8,000 for three worthy causes.

Tracey Beck, owner of Trax Fitness in West Wick, led 24 consecutive spin classes which saw more than 60 people join in at different points.

Mrs Beck launched the spin-athon in memory of her father and close friend who both died from brain tumours.

The event raised £7,721 in total, which will be divided between Mrs Beck’s three chosen charities, Brain Tumour Charity, Children’s Hospice South West and 4U Mandy Jones – a charity set up in Mrs Beck’s friend’s memory.
