WI Jubilee and Olympic cream tea

THERE were activities galore at a fundraising event held in Banwell on Saturday.

The Olympic and Jubilee cream tea was held at the village scout hut in West Street by the village women’s institute.

It was supported by the Banwell Royal British Legion, the TS Weston Sea Cadets and the 1st Milton Saracens Explorer Scout Unit, who organised a splat the rate game and pop-up tent competition.

Also on display was the Banwell Women’s Institute’s Olympic flag, which recently won first prize at the WI Olympics.

A total of £326 was raised on the day.
