A SPRING flower show and fair will take place in Clevedon next month.

A SPRING flower show and fair will take place in Clevedon next month.

Organised by the town's gardening club, the event will take place at the Princes Hall in Princes Road from 1.30-4.15pm on February 27.

There will be plants, book, bric-a-brac, cake and craft stalls, plus refreshments, a tombola and exhibition of paintings.

Classes will be for differing flowers and plants, crafts, photography, cookery, cakes and preserves.

There will also be special classes for children, including for greetings cards, a creature made from vegetables, flowers or fruit and fairy cakes, plus a 'men only' fruit cake contest.

Admission to the show is 50p and children can enter for free with an adult.

Exhibits and stalls will be set-up from 9-10.45am before the hall is closed for judging. Prize-giving will take place at 4pm.

Schedules and entry forms are available from the CCA Office in Princes Road, Round Trees Garden Centre in Tickenham, the porch of 40 Highdale Avenue and H Seeley and Co in Hill Road.
