A HOTEL in Weston had its windows smashed when it was broken into by squatters.

Fresh concerns have been raised to police about the condition of the Lynton House Hotel in Madeira Road.

PCSO Jakub Pietroczuk said: “The police working with the owner have had the hotel boarded up again.

“A few years back the Lynton Hotel suffered an arson attack which was worrying to local residents and businesses.”

The derelict Dorville Hotel, which is in the same road, has had problems with trespassing in the past 12 months.

The Lynton is currently on the market with a guide price of £625,000.

It already has planning permission to be demolished and turned into 41 flats, although an alternative scheme with 13 houses and six apartments has been suggested.
