The history of a village was celebrated at the weekend.
St Congar’s Day was enjoyed in Congresbury on Sunday, with villagers revelling in its rich history.
St Congar was an abbot who founded a monastery at Cadbury Hill in the sixth century, and the village was named after him.
To mark the occasion, a creative challenge was set at St Andrew’s Church, with villagers making Congresbury models out of rubbish.
Landmarks including the church and the Millennium Bridge were recreated, with all of the cardboard buildings forming a model village.
The event was organised by Love Congresbury, which hosts events throughout the year with the hope of bringing the community together.
A spokesman said: “Thank you for a great St Congar’s Day. The model village will remain in the church for a few days so please come to have a look.”
