Police have confirmed a man was stabbed in Weston-super-Mare yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon.

The Mercury reported yesterday how police and ambulances were called to Brue Close, on the Bournville estate, following a reported dispute between two men.

Police have today confirmed a 20-year-old man was stabbed in the incident at around 1pm.

He was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Police enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing for witnesses.

A number of people are believed to have witnessed the incident and may have even filmed it on their mobile phones.
