ROYAL British Legion standard bearer Frances Puddy marked the two minute Armistice Day silence by downing her flag in salute to fallen servicemen at a Brent Knoll garden centre last week (Thurs).
Mrs Puddy helped observe the silence at 11am along with other former servicemen and members of the public at Sanders Garden Centre.
Members of the Royal British Legion have been at the garden centre in recent weeks offering visitors to pick up a poppy while donating money to the charity, which aims to safeguard the welfare and interests of former servicemen.
