POP Idol winner Will Young and chart-topping dance act Basement Jaxx will perform on Weston beach this summer when the hugely popular T4 On The Beach festival returns.Celebrity Big Brother pin-up Preston and his band The Ordinary Boys are also among the first names announced for the event which will take place on June 18.Indie rock bands Feeder and Hard-Fi will be returning to the stage as well, after 25,000 screaming fans watched their electric performances last year.Organisers at Channel 4 have promised this year's event will be bigger and better with more acts and more tickets for sale. More performers will be announced in the run-up to the event.The T4 presenting team of Vernon Kay, June Sarpong, Steve Jones and Miquita Oliver will be hosting the event again and it will be broadcast live on Channel 4 and digital channel E4.Rock band The Feeling, whose single Sewn reached the top 10 earlier this year, will also be performing along with other up-and-coming bands Kill Boy, Frank and The Automatic.Tickets will go on sale from 9am on April 21 and are available from Ticketmaster on 08712 302644. Gates will open at 11am, the warm-up acts will kick off at 12noon and the main acts will perform from 3-6.30pm.Last year acts such as Kaiser Chiefs and Rachel Stevens wowed the crowd on a sweltering summer's day.
