A stark warning is being sent out to anyone selling stolen goods.Avon and Somerset police says it is cracking down on the activity as part of its Relentless on Vehicle Crime campaign.The police are also advising members of the public that if they are offered property door-to-door or in the pub for a lower price than in shops, the goods could be stolen.Anyone who has information about stolen property being sold on is asked to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.* Rob Beckley has been appointed as Avon and Somerset's new Deputy Chief Constable.The former head of race and minority policy at New Scotland Yard, was also chief superintendent in charge of the southern half of Buckinghamshire until 2001 when he joined Hertfordshire Constabulary.He said: "To join a force with such a strong reputation in improving performance and a real focus on its communities is, for me, a real privilege and the sort of job to which everyone aspires.
