Hundreds of people had a 'great' time at a village's harvest home.
The people of Stone and Chapel Allerton enjoyed a day of entertainment, delicious food and local ciders and ales.
The harvest home – which has been held annually since 1889 – attracted 265 people.
Guests enjoyed a delicious meal complete with cider and ale. There was plenty for youngsters too, with a children’s tea party and entertainer on hand.
Harvest home committee chairman Dr Matthew Paul said while numbers were down this year, there was a ‘great atmosphere’.
He added: “We are a close-knit community and we always have a friendly harvest home.
“It is very much a local event which supports local groups, such as the scouts and youth and toddler clubs.”
The church service before the luncheon raised £124 for Farming Community Work.
