STORMY seas, high tides and waves battering Weston's seafront were the focus of many iwitness cameras this week.

Our contributors to iwitness24 snapped up scenes caused by the remainder of hurricane Bertha, from the fun of big waves
for windsurfers to the not-so-lucky car owners who left their vehicles a little too far down the beach.

David Winship, Aideen Higgins and Simon Williams caught
some excellent photographs of Weston’s waves and what life was like on the seafront during the storms.

We also received a slightly more comical approach to the blustery weather scenes from Nick Page Hayman who titled his image of a police vehicle attempting to cross the front as ‘new police car wash.’

But the big waves were enjoyed by some who dashed into the sea with their windsurfing gear – caught by Paul Cousins.

As the storms cleared scenes of a calmer Weston were submitted by Terry Kelly and some interesting abstract shots were sent in by Courtney Towler and Simon James, as well as some summery scenes of butterflies by Jackie Downey.

Keep submitting your snaps of breaking incidents, weather images and your shots from around Weston and North Somerset and they could soon be featured in the paper or online.
