THUNDER, lightning and possibly even flooding has been forecasted by the Met Office for tomorrow (Sat).

A public warning has been issued by the weather agency ahead of intense rainfall which is due to engulf the South West tomorrow.

The warning is due to come into effect at 3am and will remain in place for the rest of the day.

A Met Office spokesman said: “The public should be aware of the potential for localised flooding due to the intensity of the downpours although the location of the heaviest rainfall remains uncertain.”
