THE final amount raised at Congresbury Christmas Fair totals £2029.15 and will be split between the village’s scout and guide executive and Weston Hospicecare.

The fair was held this year for the first time in four years after Sarah Matthews, chairman of the executive, had the idea of resurrecting the event.

Sarah Cummins, of Weston Hospicecare, said: “Thank you to everyone involved in helping to raise such a wonderful amount.

“The fair was a great evening and we look forward to being involved again in the future.”
