IT WAS a chaotic weekend for land yachters in Brean.
The National Land Yachting Regatta was held in the coastal village at the weekend, but on Saturday organisers helped report a missing person and on Sunday the competition was called off.
At around 12noon on Saturday a man approached organises to report that his friend had gone missing. People at the clubhouse phoned the coastguard and the man was later found safe and well further down the beach.
Then on Sunday the race had to be cancelled because of strong onshore winds.
Reece Davies, whose family live in Berrow, won the main standart race.
