AROUND 300 people poured through the doors of the Winter Gardens in Weston during Bleadon Sugarcraft Club’s annual show.

Numbers were down on last year’s event due to the Arctic condition gripping the country – but organisers were still pleased with the turnout.

The show, in aid of Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and Children’s Hospice South West, was held on Saturday and around 13 traders exhibited their goods.

Club member Sue Dennelly created a Michael Jackson-themed cake to display at the

event, and there was plenty more hand-crafted delights for visitors to browse.

Bleadon Sugarbabes, the children’s sugarcraft club, exhibited their stunning sugar characters in a display which was sponsored by BFP Wholesale Highbridge.
