SUPERHEROES flew into a Clevedon school to party the day away at a special ball.

Youngsters at St John the Evangelist Primary School, in Fosseway, dressed up as Superman, Batman, Snow White, Little Red Riding Hood and Mr Incredible to launch the start of their new topic on superheroes.

The pupils played party games in their capes and suits and tested out their flying powers on the bouncy castle.

As part of the school's new topic, the youngsters are making a book about their favourite superheroes and their powers, featuring pictures of youngsters dressed as the characters.

They are also making moving pictures and puppets of their heroes and studying inspirational characters from the Bible and history.
