A SUPERMARKET worker has been slapped with an £80 fine for serving alcohol to an under-age shopper.
The Lidl checkout operator was given the fixed penalty notice on February 20 during a routine inspection by police officers.
In situations where someone under-age is served alcohol it is the person who serves them who has to pay the fine.
The Weston & Somerset Mercury is unable to confirm where in North Somerset the incident took place but Lidl has branches in town centres across the district.
