A SUSPECTED axe-wielding killer has been charged with the murders of a mother and son who used to live in Worle.

The bodies of Sally Ann Cox, aged 43, and 22-year-old Martin Faulkner were found at an address in Banbury, Oxfordshire, in the early hours of Monday morning.

Police believe the pair, who used to live in The Larches in Worle until 2006, were subjected to an attack by Ms Cox’s former partner, 45-year-old Michael Kelly of Hatch Road, Swindon.

Kelly has been charged with two counts of murder and one count of assault on another person and was due to appear at Banbury Magistrates Court as the Mercury went to press yesterday (Wed).
