AN AXE, two samurai swords and dozens of knives have been given up in the first week of a blade amnesty.Twelve knives were dropped off at Weston Police Station in just seven days. Two of them were sheath or hunting knives and 10 were domestic blades. A rusty double-headed axe and a pair of two foot swords were handed over elsewhere in North Somerset and are being stored in Weston. The five-week amnesty is a Home Office initiative designed to reduce the number of knives in circulation.
