HORSE owners are being urged to protect their equipment after a spate of equine-related crime in the area.

People are being invited to bring their bridles, rugs and saddles along to have it marked by police so it can be returned in the event that is stolen.

Tack marking days will be held at A J Murphys, The Tack Shop, Hewish from 2-7pm on Saturday and at R Tincknell & Son, The Forge, Brinsea Road, Congresbury, from 9am-2pm on September 8.
