COMMUTERS were caught in tailbacks this morning after a car's engine blew up on the M5 just after 8am.
Firefighters were called to the vehicle which began filling with steam and smoke on the northbound carriageway between Weston and Clevedon.
Motorists brought to a standstill as two fire crews attended the scene.
